First Printing with complete number line 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3. Signed and dated by Maurice Sendak on the first free end paper next to the artist’s ink sketch of Rosie. Personalized to the Director of the Hartford Children’s Theatre production of Really Rosie in March of 1991, “Thank you for a Really Wonderful Rosie!” One of a kind. Seller is also the former Theatre Director.
The book is in Near Fine condition with clean, boards with light fading at the edges, strong title ink on a square spine, clean page blocks, tight binding, mild spine tilt, rolled spine ends, mild edge wear, and rubbed corners. The interior of the book is in Near Fine condition with the author’s inscription and sketch on the first free end paper and no other marks, inscriptions or signs of ownership. The end papers and the interior pages are clean and lightly toned.
The dust jacket is in Very Good condition with heavy edge wear, chips gaps and tears. First state jacket with $13.95 price on the front flap. Both covers feature the same color stage photo and look great in archival wraps.
