First Edition unstated, 1976 Carl Peek Book. First printing with no subsequent printing. The publication of the first edition is described on the copyright page, with the publisher’s name being Random House and the book being published in 1965. This edition also includes a publisher’s post card seeking comments and reviews.

The exterior of the hardcover edition is in Near Fine condition, with clean, bright boards, very strong title ink , clean page blocks, a tight binding with no creases, mild spine tilt, and lightly rolled spine ends. There is mild edge wear and two lightly bumped corners, making this a well-preserved copy.

The interior of the book is also in excellent condition, with no marks, inscriptions, or any other signs of ownership. The end papers and the interior pages are clean and bright, giving a feeling of a brand new book.

The dust jacket is in Very Good condition, with mild surface wear and heavy edge wear, chips, gaps and tears. However, any tears have been expertly repaired with acid-free tape, making this a very attractive copy in a new Brodart archival wrap with one small gap on the front.
