The book is in Near Fine condition with clean, bright boards with a small remainder mark on the bottom page block. Also with a straight spine spine, , tight binding, no spine tilt, strong spine ends, mild edge wear, and strong corners. The interior of the book is in Near Fine condition with an erased price on the half title page. No other marks, inscriptions, or other signs of ownership inside. The end papers and the interior pages are clean and bright, making it an excellent addition to any collection.
The dust jacket is in Very Good condition with mild surface wear and a moderate edge wear, and a 1/2″ tear on the front. Looks great in a new Brodart archival wrap.
The story is accompanied by a series of dazzling Helen Oxenbury illustrations.
