Description

For sale: a Rare and Exceptional Book of the Month Club (BOMC) hardcover edition of A Moveable Feast: Sketches of the Author’s Life in Paris in the Twenties by Ernest Hemingway in a Very Good dust jacket protected in a new archival wrap.  1964 Scribner – BOMC Edition is the same size, layout and boards as the first printing.

The book is in Near Fine condition with clean, bright, cloth boards without the BOMC dimple on the back, strong title ink on a straight spine, light spots on top page block, tight binding, no spine tilt, rolled spine ends, moderate edge wear, and lightly rubbed corners. The interior of the book is also in Near Fine condition with an erased price on the second free end paper. No other marks, inscriptions, or other signs of ownership inside. The end papers and the interior pages are clean and bright, making it an excellent addition to any collection.

The dust jacket is in Very Good condition with the BOMC imprint and no price on the front flap, mild surface wear, and heavy edge wear, gaps on spine ends and seams, and several tears repaired with pH-Neutral tape. Great color on the cover graphic – looks great in new Brodart archival wrap.

Widely celebrated and debated by critics and readers everywhere, the restored edition of A Moveable Feast brilliantly evokes the exuberant mood of Paris after World War I and the unbridled creativity and unquenchable enthusiasm that Hemingway himself epitomized.

Ships promptly in corrugated mailer with the book wrapped in both craft paper and bubble wrap.
