Description

For sale: a rare and exceptional Book Club Edition hardcover copy of  1984 by George Orwell in a new archival wrap. Second US Edition unstated, 1977 Harcourt Brace.  Book of the Month Club (BOMC) Edition unstated.

The book is in Near Fine condition with clean, bright boards, strong title gilt on a straight spine, light foxing to page blocks, tight binding, no spine tilt, lightly rounded spine ends, mild edge wear, and strong corners, strong corners and the BOMC dimple on the back. The interior of the book is also in Near Fine condition with the ghost of an erased price on the first free endpaper. No other marks, inscriptions, or other signs of ownership inside. The rear endpapers and the interior pages are clean and bright, making it an excellent addition to any collection.

The dust jacket is in Near Fine  condition with the price on the front flap, mild surface wear, heavy edge wear, chips and two tears on the back cover. Looks good in a Brodart archival wrap.
