For sale: a Rare and Exceptional first edition, first printing hardcover copy of Pablo Picasso: Meeting in Montreal by Pablo Picasso.  First Edition unstated, 1985 Montreal Museum of Fine Art. First Printing with no subsequent printing. 80 full page color plates and numerous black and white photos, prints and sketches. 307 pages.

The book is in Near Fine condition with spotless, cloth boards, strong title ink on a square spine and the front cover, lightly foxed page blocks, tight binding, mild spine tilt,  strong spine ends, mild edge wear, and lightly rubbed corners. The interior of the book is in Near Fine condition with no marks, inscriptions, or other signs of ownership inside. The end papers and the interior pages are clean and bright, making it an excellent addition to any collection.

The dust jacket is also in Near Fine condition, with no price on the front flap as issued, mild surface wear with light foxing inside, mild edge wear and two 1/2″ tears repaired with acid-free tape.

Monograph published in conjunction with an exhibition in Montreal. Includes numerous numerous color plates from the personal collection of his wife Jacqueline accompanied by commentary by Pierre Theberge and Louise d’Argencourt. Also featured are numerous essays by various writers among which are: Andre Breton, Paul Eluard, and Guillaume Apollinaire. Also includes many photographs of Picasso by Man Ray, Brassai, Doisneau and Karsh.

 Large, heavy volume ships promptly in a secure mailer with the book wrapped in both craft paper and bubble wrap.
