For sale: a Rare and Exceptional Leather Bound Collector’s Edition of Three Plays: Our Town, The Skin of Our Teeth, The Matchmaker by Thornton Wilder. First Edition unstated 1957 Harper Brothers with 57-10252 Library of Congress number and no dates later than 1957. First Printing with B-B Harper code on copyright page, which indicates a February 1957 print date.
The book is in Very Good condition with bright boards with a few marks, moderate title gilt on a wrinkled spine, clean, toned page blocks, tight binding, mild spine tilt, rolled and rubbed spine ends, moderate to heavy edge wear, and lightly rubbed corners. The interior of the book is in Very Good condition with the ghost of an erased price and a few spots on the first free end paper and uneven toning on both paste-downs. No other marks, inscriptions, or other signs of ownership inside. The end papers and the interior pages are clean and lightly toned, making it an excellent addition to any collection.
The dust jacket is in Very Good condition with mild surface and edge wear. First state jacket with the $4.95 price on the front flap. L
