For sale is a rare and exceptional 1962 Edition of Mary Poppins by P. L. Travers, in a Fair-Good dust jacket protected in archival wrap. Second Edition unstated, 1962 Harcourt Brace. Presumed Seventh Printing listed with G.G.5.64 print code on the copyright page. illustrated by Mary Shepard.

The hardcover book is in Very Good condition with clean, bright boards with darker spotting on the bottom of the front covers, and a strong sheen and cloth pattern. The title ink is strong on the front board and straight spine. Also with clean, lightly toned page blocks, tight binding, moderate to heavy spine tilt, heavily rolled spine ends, moderate edge wear and rubbed and rounded corners with no bare spots. The interior of the book is also in Very Good condition with the ghost of an erased price on the first free end paper. No other marks, inscriptions, or other signs of ownership inside. The rear end paper and the interior pages are clean and lightly toned, making it an excellent addition to any collection.

Fair-Good price-clipped dust jacket with strong color, mild surface wear, heavy edge wear, and chips and gaps on the spine ends. There is also a 1/2″ gap along the top edge of the back. Looks good in a new Brodart archival wrap.

Since the 1934 publication of Mary Poppins, stories of this magical nanny have delighted children and adults the world over. This reprint edition was issued after the success of the Walt Disney movie.

Ships promptly in manila envelope with the book wrapped in both craft paper and multiple layers of bubble wrap.
