Description
For sale is a Rare and exceptional First Edition Early Printing hardcover copy of 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami in a first state dust jacket.
Very clean Ex-Library with very few library markings. The dust jacket had been placed in an archival wrap and pasted to the front and rear paste downs. The remains of the paper which backed the archival wrap are still present, but hidden by the flaps of the now free dust jacket.
The book exterior is in Near Fine condition with clean, bright boards, strong title ink on a slightly concave spine, clean page blocks, tight binding, mild spine tilt, lightly rolled spine ends, mild edge wear, and lightly rubbed corners. The interior of the book is in Very Good condition with the remains of the paper which backed the archival wrap on both paste downs. There are no pen marks inside – just one 2″ ink stamp on the FEP, which is barely visible on the dark background. No other marks, inscriptions, or signs of being a library book inside. The interior pages are clean and bright, making it an excellent addition to any collection.
The dust jacket is in Very Good with moderate to heavy surface wear and mild edge wear and a 1″ tear repaired with acid-free tape.
A love story, a mystery, a fantasy, a novel of self-discovery, a dystopia to rival George Orwell’s – 1Q84 is Haruki Murakami’s most ambitious undertaking yet: an instant best seller in his native Japan, and a tremendous feat of imagination from one of our most revered contemporary writers.
Ships promptly in a corrugated mailer with the book wrapped in both craft paper and bubble wrap.
