For sale: a Rare and Exceptional  Leather Bound Collector’s Edition of The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby by Charles Dickens. Easton Press, 1968. Newer printing bound in genuine leather with gilt accents, 22kt gold page edges and a hubbed spine. Smyth sewn, interior with moire end papers, acid-neutral paper  and a silk ribbon page marker.

The book is in Near Fine condition with clean, bright boards with strong gilt accents, clean gilt page blocks, no spine tilt, strong spine ends, mild edge wear and strong corners. Silk moire paste downs are clean with no bookplate. Ribbon appears to be moved from original position. No marks or inscriptions inside. Pages clean and bright.

The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby was Charles Dickens’s third novel, published as a serial between 1838 and 1839. The story revolves around young Mr Nickleby, whose responsibility it is to support his sister and mother following the demise of his father. A classic example of Dickens’s ironic social satire that will not disappoint fans of his much-loved work.
