The exterior of this paperback edition is in Near Fine condition, with clean, illustrated covers with no creases, previous owner’s inventory number on bottom page block, mild surface wear, strong title on a straight spine, a tight binding with no spine cracks, rubbed spine ends, mild edge wear and lightly rubbed corners. The interior of the book is in Near Fine condition with no other marks, inscriptions, or signs of ownership. The inside covers and the interior pages are clean and bright.
Visually impaired Walnut cannot earn his adult name the same way other boys do, by hitting a target with a bow and arrow. With his highly developed other senses, however, he earns a new Sees Behind Trees. Dorris takes on some meaty existential issues here; he does so with grace, bighearted empathy, and always with crystal-clear vision.
