For sale: a rare first International Collectors Library edition, later printing hardcover copy of The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux. First International Collectors Library unstated with 1938 copyright. No Printing information.

The exterior of the book is in Near Fine condition with clean, bright boards, strong title gilt on a straight spine and front design. Also with, light foxing on page blocks, tight binding, no spine tilt, rolled spine ends, mild edge wear, and rubbed corners. The interior of the book is in Near Fine condition with an erased price on the first free end paper. No other marks, inscriptions, or any other signs of ownership. The end papers and the interior pages are clean and lightly toned.

No dust jacket as issued.

First published in French as a serial in 1909, The Phantom of the Opera is a riveting story that revolves around the young, Swedish Christine Daaé. Her father, a famous musician, dies, and she is raised in the Paris Opera House with his dying promise of a protective angel of music to guide her.
