Description
For sale: a Rare and Exceptional First paperback edition, early printing of Postcards by E. Annie Proulx. First
The exterior of this trade paperback edition is in Very Good condition, with clean, illustrated covers with two corner creases, clean page blocks, mild surface wear, strong title on a straight spine, a tight binding with no spine cracks, strong spine ends, mild edge wear and lightly rounded corners. The interior of the book is also in Near Fine condition with no marks, inscriptions, or other signs of ownership. The inside covers and the interior pages are clean and lightly toned.
The plot of Postcards, like those of “An American Tragedy” and “Native Son,” turns on murder tinged with lust, and draws suspense from the question of when and how — or if — the crime will be discovered. This was Annie Proulx’s first novel, which won the PEN/Faulkner award for 1993.
