For sale: a Rare and Exceptional First hardcover Edition, First Printing of Alligators All Around: An Alphabet by Maurice Sendak in a new archival wrap. First Edition unstated 1957 Harper & Row. First Printing with no subsequent printing.Nutshell Library Edition.

The book is in Very Good condition – Ex-Library with typical marks, stamps, but no card. Also with bright boards with tape stains on both boards, strong title on a square spine and strong colors on the front cover design, clean page blocks, tight binding, no spine tilt, rubbed  spine ends, heavy edge wear, and rubbed corners. The interior of the book is in Good condition with the first free end paper removed and Library Discard stamped twice on the front paste down, the half title page and the rear free end paper. The rear paste down also has three ink stamp including one of the school library’s name. The letter Z has a small stain. No other marks or inscriptions inside. The interior pages are clean and lightly toned.

The dust jacket is in Very Good condition with mild surface wear, heavy edge wear, chips and gaps and a tape stain on the front. The front flap has the $3.27 price still present. Strong color looks great in a new archival wrap.
