First Edition unstated, undated Scribner’s. Sixth Printing with print code F-10-61 [MH] on the copyright page which indicates an October 1961 print date.
The exterior of the book is in Near Fine condition with clean, bright boards with a strong sheen, strong title gilt on a straight spine and the front title. Also, a few spots and foxing on the side page blocks, tight binding, no spine tilt, rolled spine ends, mild edge wear, and lightly rubbed corners. The interior of the book is also in Near Fine condition with an erased price on the first free end paper. No other marks, inscriptions, or other signs of ownership inside. The end papers and the interior pages are clean and bright, making it an excellent addition to any collection.
The dust jacket is in Very Good condition with lightly faded covers, moderate surface wear and heavy edge wear, chips and tears. First state jacket with the price cut off the front flap. Looks attractive in a new Brodart archival wrap.
